Three suspects. One killer.

Vial's Verdict is a detective game where you play as an alchemist who can extract evidence and testimonies from their environment to use them as ingredients in their solutions.

Tips:

  • Think about what essences you haven't used yet.
  • If a solution's recipe isn't immediately obvious, it probably won't work - don't overthink things.
  • Remember that solutions can be used as evidence by dragging it into the cauldron!

Very fun murder mystery, with innovative mechanics for a detective game!

The simple but eye-catching art, well thought-out story, and creative puzzle elements all came together to create a great experience, and I got INVESTED in wanting to solve the crime haha.

I especially liked the method of extracting and synthesising clues to create "solutions". Almost got stumped near the end until I re-read the instruction on how solutions can also be used as evidence - clever!

The only bug I encountered was that the tooltip for the ritual piece of evidence doesn't always go away after you stop hovering over it. Just a minor thing though!

Overall, awesome work. I enjoyed it a lot! And thanks again for letting me know you included my music in your game - glad that it could contribute to your project! 😄

Thank you so much for playing the game and letting us use your music! Also yeah all of our playtesters forgot that you could use solutions as evidence so we just didn't highlight it enough lol, glad you could figure it out! :D
